4x DVD burning

Is there any reason that it's no faster than 2x - AT ALL?

My media is Memorex 2x and Ritek 4x.

Also, the source HD and DVD-RW are both on an ATA133 card in PCI slot 1 (It's the least conflicted spot in this system, but still pretty bad due to the GF4 not liking things a bit)

I mean, this is really pissing me off. I have to wait 2 hours before I can go watch a movie with my girl. And we all know what movies lead to!

Take the DVD-RW off the PCI ATA card and try again.

And if your girl is there, what are you doing burning a DVD?

Make sure that DMA is enabled. With my DVR-105, 2x takes 30 minutes and 4x takes 15 minutes.
