Do you think it is worth it to upgrade from a 2X to a 4X DVD-R/-RW burner as the prices have really come down over the last year and a half? What brands are good to get? I saw the Pioneer DVR-A05 for $135.99 on PriceWatch store listing. I found a Toshiba with the same burning speeds for DVD-R/-RW for $96. Is Toshiba just as good and reliable of a brand for DVD burners as Pioneer? What company do you think makes the highest qulaity DVD burners for DVD-R/-RW burning?

i really like my pioneer A05

but i dont know if its really worth it to upgrade from the 2x to a 4x
if mine was a 2x i would probably hang onto it for awhile, at least until the dual layer dvd burners come out

I would wait... there is no perfect burner on the market , they all have some problems... If you are happy with what you have, leave it alone... 8x are comming out...

I don't think it's worth the upgrade.
Since the capacity of DVD is huge. We're talking about almost 5GB in a DVD. It's not like you're gonna burn 10 DVDs a day.

is 140USD worth 15 minutes less to author a DVD?

on that note, i have a NEC1300A multiformat and when ever i have to use the 2x DVD-R media, it pisses me off. Extra 15 minutes to burn the same stuff on the 4x DVD+R media i have.
