Here is a AS SSD benchmark of my spindle RAID 0 with the following hardware:
HP Proliant DL 360 G7
2 x X5650 (6 cores each)
72GB RAM
8 x 600GB 2.5" SAS 10k rpm in RAID 0
Smartarray P410i with 1GB cache. Cache set to 50/50 for read/write
Windows 2008 Enterprise with SP1

nice!

with that much ram(and depending on data flow)?.. might look into some type of caching software. Superspeed.. Fancycache.. or something similar would surely give massive access/random data gains for that setup.

But its such a beautiful sound. Especially listening to them spin down for the 10 mins following a shutdown. And the loud running on cereal sound the servos make when completing a defrag in less than 60 seconds :D Sometimes I swear my computer was swaying from the momentum of those armatures flying around so hard.

Bawse mode nerd status for you sir, great post :)
