4x card vs 8x card speed diff

i have a hercules 8500le 128mb 4x agp card.
i was wondering if i got something with less MHz but it was 8x.... say 100 less mhz but 8x would it be faster. what are the speed comparisions?
 
assuming you are only comparing the fastest (capable of most bandwidth usage) agp 4x card to it's 8x rival at the same clockspeed
then i would say on average you would see -5% to maybe +8% change/increase due to the bandwidth increase.
most would agree that there is basically no difference in real world scenarios
 
The difference is small enough to not worry about it for now unless you have a very high-end card and you're running a very new game like Doom III.
