Anyone know of a 4U case that can hold drives like a Sunfire 4500? Current WHS has <3 months of capacity left on it so I'm thinking I need something bigger for the next build. Since the current one is ~15 drive I think the next one needs to be well over 20 drives (of course 🙂
So my simple question is, does anyone know of something that is the Norco RPC-4020 or 4220 equivalent of the Sunfire 4500?
I doubt I'll use 40+ drives at first, but it would be nice to have something where I could drop a 2TB+ drive in monthly. I was also thinking that the current i7 920 system will get retired to the server box as soon as SATA 3/ USB 3.0 get decent implementations which will hopefully happen in Q1 2010. That way I can have LOTS of PCIe lanes for raid cards 🙂
