When I woke up this morning, I heard a disturbing sound. What heard, was the jingle-jangle of my lost keys.
But to get to the point, what does the 4th of July mean to you? I have never been able to find what it means to me other then it is a day in which my way of living was justified and the King of England told to bug off. aside from that I am at a lost. Any other takes on this?

When I was little and growing up on the border with the USA it meant we got to see the fireworks across the river. Not until I was an adult did my town have any on our independance day, July 1st.
The first "unofficial" ones we had on Canada Day, July 1st, was when I brought home a few souvenirs from the army and we let them go.

I've always admired the american sense of teamwork and emphasis on the importance of the individual and how your politicians can come together for the country rather than their individual parties.

Have a good holiday.
