Is it snappy enough for web browsing / desktop usage when using integrated graphics such as Intel HD 4600 (4770K) or HD 530 (6700K) at this res?

Planning to get a 3840 x 2160 monitor but without any dGPU at the moment. Thanks.

EDIT: Both IGP seem to support 3840x2160@60Hz via DP.

I had to use the integrated graphics in my 4670k while waiting on an RMA. It was a brutal experience even at 2560x1440.

trying to watch any kind of good quality video was just horrible.

Maybe I wasn't hitting the buttons hard enough but I just can't see how someone would lrecommend intel integrated graphics for a good 4k experience.

Iris pro in my retina macbook pro was a good experience, but that's a completely different animal.

That's what I said. Is OK with only offimatic apps, once you start to use the browser and go with pages with heavy ammounts of animation, it quickly becomes a very bad experience. You can't even manage to get 30 fps.

Iris Pro from Haswell and Iris from Broadwell are different since they have their very fast edRAM.

At 1080p browsing seems fine on 4770K, I can clearly notice the difference between that and a lowly GT 740, though, let alone a faster GPU. Hence, I asked if anybody has used Intel's IGP at higher resolutions. I can also use IGP on my 6700K, but I haven't got all the parts required to see how it fares. The plan is to use iGPU until next round of AMD/NV cards show up. Yeah, no gaming in the meantime. But getting a 4K monitor would be nice still, I could use the extra vertical space for work. I hate scrolling.

Thanks for your input, guys.
