4k Monitors with 290x x2

Current got two Asus 4k 28" monitors. My video cards ( 2 x 290x) only have one display port per card.

Hooking up a displayport per video card disables crossfire. DVI-D is out for 4k. I really planned to buy a third screen this week when payday hits.

Right now it looks like I would need another 290x that has 3 display ports on one card, then run TRI-Crossfire? (not finding one online)

Maybe sell off my 290x and buy a 980? Looking for feedback, have awake when I was troubleshoot/figuring out the best solution before work today.

I might just put the two 290x in my second system and try two 980 since Nvidia has 3 displayport even on the lower end 970s
