4 gigs on a usb flash drive for $151, can these things go any cheaper?
still it seems like a good deal considering 1 gig drives are selling for $60 or so.

anyone have one of these, comments??

Are these drives similar to the 128/256/512mb flash drives? With 4gb of storage, I would hope the transfer rates would be improved.

I don't think that the unit is, technically speaking, a flash drive at all. The 4 gig capacity and mechanical(read: mediocre) seek times suggest that this is based on a microdrive or equivalent hard disk. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as 4 gigs of flash is still pretty expensive; but this won't have the advantages of true solid state(extreme resistance to shocks and magnetic fields), although it also won't die as quickly under sustained read/write.
I've not used one personally, so I don't know about the manufacturer in detail; but comments have been pretty positive about hard drives in that form factor. If you want 4 gigs of portable storage, this looks like a pretty good bit of kit; but just don't expect to be getting a real solid state drive.
