I am selling my current mobo, cpu, and ram to a friend. I am going to buy new mobo, new C2D, and new ram.

However, I am not planning on upgrading to vista until I upgrade my video card once the single core successor to G92 is released (or something that performs well from AMD). So my question is: Will using 4gb Ram in XP 32-bit cause problems due to he addressable limit?

I will be using a 256mb Video card until I upgrade.

Thank you for your response.

I have 4 gigs in Windows XP 32-bit and it only sees 3.5 gb, but I have a 512 mb video card. If you are lucky you will receive 3.75 GB or something around that. The thing is that for Windows XP more then 2 Gb is an overkill. You won't probably see the diference going from 2 GB to 4 GB in games, but more like in programs that really use ram, like Photoshop and stuff.

OK cool so It doesn't cause errors and stuff, just limited in terms of how much it can actually use.

Thank you!
