Zap - Did you try overclocking with these sticks by any chance? I wanted to pick a couple of kits up but was worried they will flake out when I try to overclock an i5/i7.

Nope. Just got back with them last night. I don't even have a system to put them in right now.

My guess is that they can run a bit higher than spec once VDIMM is upped to 1.5v. Also, when overclocking you can always reduce memory multiplier.

As long as they can run at 1600 CL9 with <= 1.65V, I'm happy.

I picked up 2 kits but don't have a system to test it in since I'm still running my trusty e6600 @ 3.0ghz on the Bad Axe 2. I am hoping to pick up i7 2600k at launch to finally upgrade.

Can't you push that E6600 any further? I got mine up to 3.5GHz on a old 965P-DS3.

I tried quite a few times to get it above 3.0ghz but never got it work. So ended up just giving up.

fsb hole set it at 400 with loose timing and see if it posts..

Well, the first step should always be to try a given FSB while dropping the multi. Once you know that the mobo is not the limiting factor, then up the multi + vcore.
