Anybody heard of future platforms allowing 4 1GB sticks running at rated speed at 1T command rate? My next upgrade will include this amount of memory.

kinda funny....b4 i wasnt allowed to use 4 sticks of ddr400 @ 1t....today for somereason i was allowed to change it from 2t to 1t and my computer has been running fine

run 2X 2gig. DDR2 you can easily find 2gig modules, and that should run with a 1T command rate. also, what OS you use?

I will probably be using Media Center so I can fully integrate with my 360.

why would you ask what os? the 1T/2T issue is not a software issue it is a hardware issue....

maybe to see if the OP can even use the 4GB? or if he's limited to 3GB.

OP, what are you going to be doing that needs 4GB??

i forgot to mention...i don't think the current intels suffer from having 4 sticks in them. i'm sure conroe won't either
