4g4a users... where is the 4:5 mem clock setting?

Just got this baby and everything is awesome so far, but in my memory clock I see Auto, 3:4 and something like Default. So where/how do I set it to 4:5? It's not in there!

I even updated the BIOS to the latest one from Epox's website, and still it's not there.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it can only be set when the FSB is @ 160. I'm not 100% sure though.

You have to take off the jumper near the northbridge which sets the board to default to 133MHz and higher.

Cool, thanks NFS4! This setup went straight to 2.4 ghz rock steady (from a 1.6a ghz chip), but I haven't tried more yet. I wanted to get all my stuff setup smoothly and all that. I'm pretty sure it will go higher though.

Man, this 4g4a is one awesome board, it reminds me of the greatness of the old BH6. I'm so glad I got this!

Chad, what vcore are you running at 2.4Ghz? I ordered a 1.6A and am debating whether to get the 4G4A or the P4B533-V.

Ok Brandon. I now have 4:5 ratio in there but when I did that I lost the 3:4 ratio! Where'd that go and how do I get it back now?

::confused:: :confused:

100 FSB = 3:4 ratio
133 FSB = 4:5 ratio

You have to figure out which one you will use based on your FSB speed and mem quality, and then leave it there.

Yes it does.

I just got my EP-4G4a+ last night... but I barely got WinXP loaded (before I had to get some sleep.) Looks like an awesome board, so far!

Wow, good to see ya PEZ. Hope things are going well for you. Funny we both just got this motherboard. I'm glad to see you bought this, that tells me I made the right decision. :) So far, I love this bad boy. It's got that "instant classic" feel to it already. This is almost, dare I say, near BH6 levels of greatness. :)

Good luck and let me know what you end up with and I'll do the same (still experimenting but already it's awesome even in super safe ranges).

EDIT: P.S. Thanks oldfart!

I'd say this in general terms. If your mem (big if) can handle DDR400:
3:4 ratio if you are 150 and under FSB
4:5 150 - 160 FSB
1:1 over 160 FSB.

If your mem cant do DDR400, lower the numbers as needed.
