I'm using the Highpoint as two extra IDE channels, and have a HD on each channel (I'm not using RAID). Well, I've noticed that the HD's NEVER spin down when I'm not using the system. ...But the system will Standby and Hibernate normally.
I'm using WinXP that sees the HD's as SCSI since they're on the Highpoint controller.
