4BDA2+ and OCZ DDR PC-3000

I've heard mixed feelings about the OCZ memory. Some people say that it doesn't overclock worth crap, and some people say that it is the overclocking king. I think it is just a luck thing. Personally, my favorite memory on the market right now is Kingmax PC2700.

I installed a 256MM module in a system replacing some Crucial PC2100 running fairly conservitive settings and got a blue screen stop error on boot. Had to set mem timings to Normal to get it to work. The OCZ had problems approaching the performance levels of the Crucial memory let alone run at PC3000 levels. I think the only board this memory works well in is the Iwill XP-333. Idealy, good memory should allow you to run fast timings at a high frequency, the OCZ did not work for me in this regard on the Leadtek and MSI SiS boards.
The copper heat spreader looks nice though.

I just got some of this RAM. Seems fine to me even at high speeds on my Gigabyte GA-8IRX with SPD set to AUTO.

I wouldn't recommend OCZ ram to anyone. Kingmax is pretty good but pricey right now. If you can hold off on pc-2700 for a month or 2 Crucial should have it and you'll know your getting the best.
