49ers Baby, Woo Woo

It's not all his fault. He inherited a horrible salary cap situation. They're trying to dig themselves out now but it's going to take a while.

That said, Niners stink this year. How many interceptions to defenders 3 yards in front of him has Rattay thrown this year?!?!? grrrrr...

Wrong. That was what he inherited over 6 years ago. He got out of that trouble based upon great decisions by past ownership and Bill Walsh. He promptly put us back into trouble right away. He's an idiot who only cares about how much money he is making, which is not how to run a team. In addition, he's not taking into account the appreciation of the value of the franchise when he calculates the bottom line. He's probably going to make dozens of millions of dollars when he sells the team.

Terry Donahue got us into this salary cap mess. not York. But York has got to go. Some say the only way we can get him to go is to lose the entire team. Don't buy tickets, boycott games, then with no revenue and no stadium, he takes the team and leaves. Then we get another team willing to come here. Thats what some people have suggested. I personally don't see him selling the team.

You're right. I mispoke. After reading a few articles on that site, i can see now how he's driving the team into the ground.

Hell, a couple years ago I thought they were headed in the right direction. Jeff Garcia, Terrell Owens, Julian Peterson and Ahmed Plummer making a name for themselves, Mariucci controlling the team, big comeback playoff win against the Giants, and what happens? Fire Mariucci and bring in Erickson? WTF.

Also, Candlestick has got to be the worst facility in the NFL now. Parking is so f'ed up around that stadium. 20 bucks to hike 2 miles through the mud?

I agree they're both to blame. But York signed Donahue on for another 4 years. WTF is that sh|t. I don't want the 49ers to leave, even though it would be cool to have an expansion team to build up. The Texans are doing a good job of it. I'm sure you heard Larry Ellison was interested in buying the team, that kind of money and ego running a team, match made in heaven for 49er fans.

Red Dawn - Yup, if I ever saw him.......I get a little too excited thinking about it, and I can't get like that at work.

Yeah, I didn't realize how bad it's been until I read the articles on that site. We were headed in the right direction, but then you get rid of your starting QB, HB, WR, and 2 out of 5 OL, and that's when you start sucking teh balls. And firing Mooch was just plain dumb. Look what he's doing with the Lions and look at what Mora Jr. is doing with the Falcons and their defense. AHHHHHHHHHH. It would be worth the jail time to run into York and Donahue.

F*ck they suck so bad. Worst team in the NFL. At least Miami has a defense.

Time to start scouting for the #1 draft pick. Better be a QB. Rattay is not the answer

am I the only niners fan that wants them to lose every game from here on out? I want that #1 draft pick... not another 2-3 meaningless victories that will secure us the oh so coveted #12 pick or whatever.

I agree. It's time to call off the season. I know from a players perspective, they're going to try to win every game they can and save some dignity, but as a fan, I'd love to see the #1 draft pick come to us and have something to look forward to next year.

erikson sucks so bad, hes a big reason our boys suck
I don't know why they didn't push harder for Dennis Green. He was a proven winner in the NFL. Knowing York though, Erickson was probably the cheapest option.

I wonder if it's possible for both teams to lose? 😀

they could technically tie, that would make it so neither team won 😀

but yea, 49ers are terrible 🙁

I don't know why they got rid of Mooch.
