Yes, the Celeron does get eaten alive even when overclocked. It is about the same as a Duron that is about 150-200 mhz slower. If you built a brand new system, I would defintiely not reccomend the Celeron. I think the Celeron II however, is the perfect solution for people who have a BX chipset, and want to extend the life of the "old" motherboard. If you were building a system from scratch, I would reccomend a cheap duron and overclock (I have a 600@1050 with the CGK742092).
