4890 2gb? 230$

First off - ZZF typo'd the card - it doesn't exist.. If it did exist - it would have to be a good bit more expensive than the cheapest 1GB version out there just for the cost of the additional RAM.

Second, were it to exist, the 2GB has already been shown on the 4870 (not the x2) to provide little to no benefit (with the exception of maybe GTA4).
 
2gb will be useless on that card below 2560x1600. at 2560 having more than 1gb did help in a couple games in a review I saw of a 4870 2gb.

More than 2GB VRAM? The extra VRAM would come into play when more than the standard issue 1GB VRAM is required (the 2560x1600 case you mention).
