ok so you can see my setup in my info down below. I'm running TWO 4870x2s crossfired together. they worked but after a while I saw the crossfire option disappear from my catalyst. I tried a clean reinstall of drivers but the problem persisted even with 8.12. both cards (all 4 cores) were seen by GPUz and when checked individually they worked. yes I checked the bridge.

It was brought to my attention that there was a BIOS update that had this message for its fix:
Fixed use 2 pieces of ATI4870X2 VGA Card can't display from Primary slot display monitor

I flashed with that then rebooted. After reboot I didn't get video on any of the 4 cards. I flipped the crossfire bridge and finally got a video. when I boot, though, I get the message after getting into windows that
No ATI graphics driver installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate for your ATI hardware.
I tried going another clean install of ATI but nothing seems to fix the problem. I uninstall, reboot into safemode, run drive cleaner, reboot into normal mode, install ATI drivers, reboot. nothing
