Hi Guys,
Systems specs
Asus P5w dh deluxe
E6600 2.4ghz (going to overclock it)
ATI 2900 PRO (flashed to xt)
2 gigs of 800mhz ram

I can't decide whether to buy a 4870 at £115.00 or a 5770 at £128.00 (think that is around 187 dollars vs 208 dollars) What would you guys recommend?

BFG the admin on this site thinks there could be more to come from the 5770 from drivers and you get DX 11 which future proofs me a little.

P.S. if any other UK users on here know of a better site to use than scan or overclockers, please let me know.

With only ~$20 difference I would take the 5770.

-Lower power consumption
-Better driver support going forward
-DX11 for longer useful lifespan

For $20 I'd go 5770. I too believe that future drivers will improve the series' perf notably
