I recently bought a new Visiontek 4870 1gb. Tried several different catalyst drivers, however the manual fan control option simply does not exist.

Googled my life away, but to no avail to this issue.

Any suggestions?

Using Win7 64bit if that helps.

(Have another Visiontek 4870 512mb which fan control works just fine on another computer in vista

Does you card have the reference cooler on it? If it's not a reference cooler I believe some models (very few though) do not have an adjustable fan.
 
ATI Tray Tools worked. Although I wish I knew what was the deal with catalyst.

I appreciate it. Guess I won't have to shoot it.
