4870 and 4850 in same system?

I wanted to ask if I could run a 4870 and a 4850 in the same system (not crossfire) and individually mine LTC on both cards.

I assume they will both use the same drivers, so I don't think I should have any issues. However, I have never ran more than one graphics car in any of my systems, so I am still new to this and I wanted to make sure.

Thank you for any valuable feedback you can provide.

You should be completely fine, as long as your PSU can handle them. Should you ever decide to crossfire them you wouldnt have any issues either.

Awesome, thank you for your feedback! I have a Thermaltake TR2 600W (with dual 12v rails, which I dislike btw because I am never sure how they are split) but I should be able to handle it.

Not sure how economical it will be to mine on such old hardware... The power consumption will be considerably higher than for modern GPUs of equivalent speed.
