Has anyone seen how these cards fair in a crossfire X setup? Now that I can get them for 309 after MIR at the egg, I might buy a couple and see how they work.

I wouldn't bother with a quad GPU setup. The scaling passed 2 GPUs is pretty bad for XFire and SLI.

I know it does not scale as well, but I still want to see some numbers on it.

Well if you want to spend the money then go for it and report back. I haven't seen any review with dual 4850x2s.

"Price is finally dropping"? You missed out - I seem to recall it being under $240 at the egg a few days ago. As for scaling, I'm guessing it'll show trends similar to 4870 CrossfireX scaling.
