4850 to 4870 1GB or GTX 260-216

at least wait few more weeks before you decide. but sometimes when you are bitten by the "upgrade bug" you just gotta get something 😉

i recommand a bigger monitor 😀

it depends on what it would cost you to upgrade and what games you play. I happen to hate any sort of lag whatsoever and like max settings, plus I was able to upgrade for $55 or so net. If you can do that then I say "why not"?

The only real advantage would be the extra mem for games like GTA4.

Also depends if you just want to use the absolute best settings, I've had 4870 crossfire on a 22" monitor till I got my higher res one.
Had a major "Upgradeatytis" this gpu generation 😛

I saw a large performance gain over a 4850 when moving to a GTX260+ (approx 40%-50%) in modern games, but I typically use at least 1600x1200 with at least 4xAA.

If you use 1680x1050 with lower levels of AA, you might not see such a dramatic difference.
