4850 Crossfiring worth it?

I've been looking at some reviews of 4850s crossfired, but noticed that in a lot of games crossfire either made no difference, a very small difference, or even ran slower than a single card. Particularly crysis.
Anyone have any input on running in crossfire? I think some of the reviews may have used outdated drivers or something.

Read the article carefully though...HardOCP doesn't do reviews like most sites except in the "apples to apples" section.

I think it's a pretty good buy. You're getting performance matching the GTX280 for $100 less.

Good question, I did not notice any change in performance when I upgraded drivers, but I did not bench anything.

a sub $300 4850 crossfire is an amazing bargain

So far I have no major complains. I'll be upgrading to the X58 chipset as soon as it's out to truly unleash my tri-configuration...

The hardOCP review is nice and new. Some of the reviews I saw 4850 CF couldn't even play crysis.
