Hello everyone,
I have a quick question as I think I might need to return this monitor that I just bought.
I didnt realize my 4850 wouldnt support the resolution for my new LCD without a dual link, the resolution on the new sammy LCD is an oddball resolution, hence why I got it a bargain. (2048x1152) The resolution is basically a slightly higher 16:9 resolution. The problem is that I am also hooked up to my 40" sammy 1080p, and I dont want to sacrafice the extended desktop and also use as home media player.
The key question is if I get crossfire will that solve the problem? Meaning can I use the dual link on one card to drive the oddball LCD at full resolution while also connecting it to my LCD TV for full 1080p.
Has anyone done this? Not many people are faced with this dilemma as they usually will not have this wierd resolution.
THanks and any help would be appreciated as I need to return the monitor in the next 15 days to make the 30 day return policy.
Best,
