Installed DMC4 and played it first at 1280x1024 every thing very high and 8xAA and 8xAF it worked great..

After this i upped the resolution to 1680 x 1050 and all of the sudden i get slow downs when near a gate, or too many bad guys show up??

Oh it runs fine on any other non wide screen options??

Anyone else has any such problem???

Try 1440x900 or 1400x1050 but maybe your card isn't good enough for 8xAA and 1680x1050, after all Capcom is not exactly known for the quality of their ports (Lost Planet, DMC3, RE4 all had horrible performance, DMC4 is a much better port but still)

What I hate about DMC4 is that it doesn't have frame skip, when the FPS drop the speed of the game also drops, it's quite annoying.

He has Crossfired HD 4850's. Yea, his cards are plenty good enough. More than enough actually. :)

Ya as JPB said 4850CF is good for quite a lot of games... The odd thing is at 1400x1050 its works great i also upped the AA and AF to 16x wow and no slow downs what so ever... at 1440x900 its a different story the dam thing FPS dies and games gets slow and as said annoying.!!

If you can support 1900 res, try that and compare framerates. I've seen benches where performance is oddly worse at 1680
