4800 X2 Voltage

I was wondering what would be the safest highest voltage possible for the 4800 X2s? I currently have mine at stocked voltage but it only lets me oc to about 2.6 on watercooled. Specs are in sig. Thanks!

imo, i wouldn't go over 1.48 (~10%) but i know alot of people will say you can go higher.

I'm giving my 4800+ 1.475V. Running it currently at 2760MHz stable. On default voltage, the max temp (Dual Prime 8+ hours) was 45C, while whit this voltage the temp rises up to 59C. I know I can get away with much less voltage (like 1.425) but my ASUS board has a terrible voltage fluctuation and it gives me no choice.

P.S. Anyone tried the new 1008 BIOS for A8N-SLI Premium? Is the VCore problem somewhat fixed?

what kind of setup are you using for your watercooling? the load temp on my cpu never went over 38C under dual Prime @ 260x11 and 1.65v.

your temperature reading seems to be on the level of good air cooling, maybe the waterblock isn't making good contact?

AMDs specs say 1.35 - 1.45, so I am thinking anything under 1.5 is safe. Over 1.5 you are probably weakening the chip, but as everybody points out when the subject comes up: how long are you going to keep it anyway?

Are you talking to me? I'm not using water.
I don't think the OP has mentioned his temps yet.

I run it at 1.67vCore..Water cooled closked at 9x315 . . Volts can kill but so what, it is good for 3 years in my opinion !

What is your temp?
I agree that 3 years is good enough 😀, but unfortunately my board doesn't give options over 1.5!
