4790K - getting 88C on stock cooling in Crysis 3.

Why is this three pages long, with mud slinging and everything? The title alone is Smmh. I got one more post is all I know. :p

For a 3770k that would be a very cool temp indeed. Don't know about 4790k.

Hardly "very cool". Crysis 3 isn't even the most CPU demanding thing you can do to a CPU and a 3770k throttles at 105, Haswell is at 95 or 100 so you're pretty damn close with either processor to throttle temps. Slightly warmer ambient temps and you're pretty much there on Haswell. Something a little more demanding and warmer ambient temps and you're there with IB.
