478 pin mobo

Can any one recommend a 478 pin motherboard that has eide and pci-e? I have a p4 2.0 that I need to put back into service . Thanks , SD.

I don't think PCI-Express was supported on intel chipsets that were around during the socket 478 days. Newegg has a few with VIA chipsets that look like they'd fit what you're asking for and are ~$50. http://www.newegg.com/Product/...80+1070509907&name=478

any idea if that board will support a mobile P4 S478 CPU? I have one now in an 845PE chipset board, that seems to be failing.

Should be your answer.

You might be able to find ASRock P4VM900-SATA2 or P4VM890, depending on your region. These have pretty much disappeared from US channels but may still be marketed in other regions.
