Even more impressive considering the smaller c-max achieves the same result.

Wonder what Toyota is going to do now. Really makes the Prius a bit more??

So I did find a possible problem, hopefully an error or misunderstanding in the article. Only 130 foot-pounds of torque. Maybe that is gas engine only, not counting the electric? That isn't much torque...

I was thinking the same thing. Torque is pretty wimpy for a car that size. Puts out only as much power as a stock Civic.

Nice car. The fusion hybrid continues to be quite expensive, though.

Well, as much torque ;) HP to weight ratio is still the be all end all and 188 will definitely give this much more pick up than a Prius.

A few thousand cheaper (maybe $3,000 or so) and I can see most car buyers going for the Hybrid option in 5 years time for cars like the Fusion. Even now it isn't a huge difference in terms of monthly payments.

I'll wait to believe it with real world testing. Seems like the newer cars aren't getting the claimed MPG like the cars from the early 2000's and mid 90's

Camry LE Hybrid is a couple thousand less and packs a bit more of a punch. It will do 0-60 in almost 7 seconds flat which is respectable for a hybrid :)

Be interesting driving them back to back to see how well they compare to each other.

I don't care about similarly equipped. Camry starts at under $26,000 and that's the important thing for a car aimed at "saving" people money.

Looks like a more playful Aston Martin sedan. But a lot less snoody.

Damn, I should have gotten this instead of the GT-R! ATG screwed me!
