No offense intended, but why do you want to crossfire 2 low end cards? If you have the power to run 2 x 4670, I would just get a stronger single card solution such as 4870 or GT250/GT260. Anyway, in response to you original question, I don't know anything about the crossfire capabilities of the 4670, so maybe I should not have responded to this post, but just wanted to pose the question of a single card solution.

The 4670 has been available for as low as $35 AR. If you were to get your hands on two of them that'd be a decent amount of GPU power for $70 if all you needed to do is drive a 1680x1050 22". Lots more bang/buck than e.g. a GT240 (50% more expensive) and even 9800GTX+/GT250 (40% more $).

Plus you get to experience all the headaches of multi-GPU without paying the enthusiast level guinea pig premiums.

It's the reason I'm looking for a second gently used ECS 8800GT now to tide me over until I can get a 5850.

I picked up one of the $35 MSI 1GB cards a while back and had the same question as the OP. There is no bridge connection on the card yet MSI states that it is CrossfireX compatable. Is this all done in software considering there is no hardware interconnect? Has anyone done one? Results?

Can't find much about it on the net. Considering picking up another cheap one (if I find one) to pair it with this one if it works and makes a difference. If not, I'll wait and pick up a better single solution card at a later date (my 8800GTS will do for now if this doesn't work! ;) ).
