I'm thinking of this to play with - anyone have any experience with this or the earlier 440Flex boards? I'm thinking a cheap Syba SATA-II controller, 30GB SSD and an older ATI card would be fun... the boards are of course overpriced for the performance you get, but it would kill my A4000/060 and PPC 604e. I played with an AmigaOne system, but never bought one.
How do you think a 1.16GHz dual-core PPC would compare to a dual-core Atom? The OS overhead is MUCH less than 7 or any Linux distro I'm aware of. I'm sure flash etc. will suck balls on this, which I can deal with.
