Hallo! i recently build new pc with following specs
Cpu :4690k
MB :Asrock z97x fatality
Ram :G.skill ripjawsX 8gb (dual channel)
SSD :SAMSUNG 850 pro 256gb

I plan to buy gpu on mid 2015 ...
Im using intel igpu (4600 HD)
My question is..
Why i can only use 512mb shared memory for igpu on bios???
Both i5 specs and z97x specs say 1.7gb max support

Check bios you're using; if there are later ones I would update it. Also check to see what the usage is in windows.

I don't think you'll survive till mid 2015 if you plan on playing any games on that machine.

i can play lol max settings (shadows off) and i get 300fps at start and 120+ during game.. 60 fps with vsync always.. i oced igpu to 1400mhz.. also i think i can play wow on medium settings..

With integrated graphics, the driver works with OS to dynamically allocate memory for graphics as needed - up to 1.7gb for hd4600 - this will show up as "shared" video memory.

The bios setting is to pre-allocate/dedicate memory at boot - which isn't necessary and which makes that memory unavailable for other applications.

Only a few games get confused when they call the OS function and see less "dedicated" memory than they want - GTA iv, Star Wars:tor, some PES games. For those, bumping the bios pre allocated up from its default (32? 64?) may be necessary. Otherwise you could leave that setting at its default and OS/applications/games will work just fine.
