Looking to upgrade my ps to a 450 or even a 425. I looked at pc power and cooling and saw the Turbo cool 425 Atx. But wanted some opinions. It is for a thunderbird system so it needs to be amd compat. Looking for suggestions on what to get and where to get it. Thanks in advance.

hmm., I just bought a 350 Enermax off of E bay... It was $48.50. Maybe a good price, I dunno - it was easy to find. :) The same guy (really a business) had 450's also. I think they were $79.99

Thanks guys. Good suggestions. Never heard of Enermax before but the price looks pretty good. Almost 50-70 bucks cheaper then the turbo cool I saw. They just jumped to the top of the list. Thanks again.

Enermax makes really high quality stuff.
Even the ATX power connector is covered with braiding :)
Plus it really is QUIET!

I bought my Enermax EG451P-VE 431 Watt PS at Crazy PC. A great price for a fantastic PS. And it is extremely quiet. It is so quiet, I thought it was DOA when I turned it on for the 1st time.

Im going to buy one of these as well. I need 400+ watts becasue i will be adding a 3rd hard drive and another cdrom soon. My 300 works great but i think it is noisy and I am begining to think that it cant handle 8 drives, 6 fans, 2 hard drive coolers, etc..

450 comes in handy with 8 hard drives, DVDrom, CDRW, ZIP drive and tape backup, 12 fans, etc, and going to begin using peltier.
