4400+ x2 core......but the video card....

ok lm slapping together a new pc, with sli, lm getting the 4400+x2core, and a 1 gig stick of ram for now, 200 gig hd, but as l have to wait a week or so for the cpu to arrive, l looked into video cards and leant towards nvidia s 7800gtx sli, but lm not sure of getting two yet might go for one.
lm wondering if any of you people have one of these sli twin video card set ups on a x2core cpu system ?
And was it a noticable difference between 1 card and two cards ingame ?
Not interested in benches, just want some user views of ingame use to see if its worth the extra cash, for l would hate to have to replace both cards later cause l cant find a matching model or the games actually NEED it in future.
Also has anyone run FRAPS on a duel core cpu ?
If so how did it go ? what fps recording did it push out ?
Thanks any whom reply.....

For now being the Key, a 7800GTX is stupid fast in all games right now and can be purchased for the same or less then 2x 6800nu. It would also delay how long you could wait before getting a second 7800GTX. This lets you spend $100 - $150 in a yr or 2. To me this is better then getting another $250-$300 at that time because or actually adding to your $500 investment instead of basically throwing it out (you could say by then that you got your value out of it, but I don't like the Idea of throwing away a huge investment like that I would rather add to it then get rid of it.)

So 7800GTX now and another 7800GTX later.

my supplier wants me two order 2 cause the model number may change, he also makes another 150 buks on me !
But l may leave it as its getting bloody dear at this stage, and put 2 new ones in it after xmass , when games can actually use it !

That's good...assuming it's from a good brand that won't go out of business anytime soon. Then you can get your second one the middle of next year and keep on running 16x12 max settings 😀

he can always flash it.

but, i mean, unless you have a monitor that requires like 3000x2000 resolution, 1 7800gtx will be able to easily handle it. but, 2 would just be way more future proof.
