A friend of mine wants to get dual core for his system and he wants either the 4400+ Toledo 2.2 ghz or 4200+ Manchester 2.2 ghz. I wasnt really sure what to tell him. What should he between them? Is there a difference in them for oc'ing? Which one would be better for oc'ing? Plz answer soon! TY!! :)

Apparently... the best value with OCing in mind would be the 3800+... can get to about the same point, if not past both the 4200+ and 4400+... the cache doesn't make a huge difference.

i haven?t seen much evidence on which would be the better choice out of the two, other then peoples theories, as i dont think alot of people have bought the 4200+

I personally would be more inclined to spend the extra cash and get the 4400+, as i think alot of other people have already choosen to do as well.

thats just my opinion

O ok, so doesnt matter which one? He wants to pick between those two so i just want to decide and tell him why he should get the specific one.

i would wait for more people to respond to give you a better idea, before making a choice and spending that amount of money ;) but if your friend is into Ocing or is willing to do so .. the x2 3800+ would be a good choice to go with .. if not then the 4400+

Well both can get average overclocks of 2.5GHz on air...but the 4400+ has the added L2 cache.
