Don't spend that much on a machine and nuter it with only a gig of ram get 2x 1 GB you can pick them up for about 230-250.

I would recomend corsair xms 2gb(2x1Gb) Twinx2048-3200c2pt pretty good ram with low latency

*OK* I canceled the order for now that the ram was coming in so I can do more research. I was worried about the same thing (only 1gb ram) but decided to just go with the VX until more reviews could be found on 1gb x 2 sticks


I have a personal policy of buying the best within reason on most things if I can. (Ie, 4400+ but not 4800+)


I would like to get killer ram for this rig, but have had a hell of a time finding any comparative info with benchmarks on 1gb sticks...

Any suggestsion on the best ram and why are much appreciated

Rumors suggest that DFI doesn't go well with Corsair.
