Hello, I wonder if some one can help with this issue:
I have an Intel 850GB motherboard which is socket 423, I want to install a 478Pin Processor, so I got a 423-pin to 478-pin CPU Socket Converter, I have updated the BIOS of the motherboard to the lates one available in intel site, the motherboard is working fine with normal 423pin processors, but when the socket is used along with a 478pin processor no diplay comes on. The same processor and the converter work fine on an ASUS motherboard so defenately the intel board and the 478pin processor along with the converter are working but they dont like each other so they dont work in an Intel board, I have emailed Intel about this and they gave me the standard intel reply"WE DO NOT SUPPORT NONSTANDARD PROCESSORS" can anyone of the GURUS help in getting these components on talking terms?

No, its not a powerleap product it is actually an ECS OEM product, emailed ECS tech support but it seems they are too busy to reply, I know where my money is not going next time around.....
