I've recently purchased an amd athlon 54 dual core 4200+ it is currently at stock settings.

I would like to o/c it to 2.4ghz i would like to avoid volt mods but will do if necessary.

So what are the required settings. eg. fsb, multiplier etc...

btw do i need to change ram settings aswell?

Have a look at Zebo's Quick and dirty A64 clocking guide **UPDATE** X2 OC information!, sticky at top of forums.

Check that and you'll be able to OC easy. I got an extra 440 Mhz outta my A64 3500 Venice on stock voltage 😀

2.4ghz should be really easy with that chip.

Set the HTT multi to 4x
Set the memory divider to 166(DDR333)
Set the HTT to 220mhz
Set CPU multi to 11x

That will give you 2420mhz, and probably won't require increasing the CPU volts. If you bump the volts up a little you can most likely raise the HTT to 240mhz with the above settings, which would give you 2640mhz.
