4200+ X2 overclocking results

Best I have gotten so far is 2.7ghz (245x11) @ 1.45V (would 1.5V be safe?). Anything over that it won't boot all the way to windows. I run a 9:10 mem divider on my ram to make this work. Not sure what I could do to push this a bit further. :)

any other results? Interested to see if anyone got it over 2.8.

Ah, I have a 3800+ X2 (AM2) and I hit 2.7 GHz. Memory voltage keeps holding me back (looking into volt-mods...) I've run at 1.55v without much hassle - just keep an eye on your temps.

I think a 3800+ woulda been better for me. I was working in photoshop and my comp froze, so i put it down to 2.65ghz instead. I'll try 1.5V and see..

Have you tested for stability? Even at that divider, you may have to raise your memory voltage (you're at 444.7 MHz according to my numbers...)

4200's are much better, if you don't plan on overclocking. 3800's are much better, if you do.

I've gotten mine up to around 2.65 with the AC cooler. But I run it at 2.55 cuz it runs cooler and without another volt bump.

It'll go as far as the windows boot screen and make it about halfway to load at 262x11:shocked: with just the AC Freezer Pro64 at 50% fan speed. Not too bad. We'll see how it does at school once I get it in a more open room which has better ambient temps and more space around the case itself. With my old Venice going from home to school meant another 100mhz on my OC just cuz of better temps.
