According to the MPAA to get a backup copy you must by it again.
Universal Pictures' DVDs have those... do any others ? Is Troy from Universal ?One is to get rid of the irritating commericals at the beginning. Presuming this DVD has any, which they all seem to.

Sounds like it's copy protected (if that's possible with DVD movies).Originally posted by: sygyzy
Slightly off topic, does anyone know why I haven't been able to backup my original dvd's lately with DVD Shrink. It claims there is a CRC error or something. This happens with even clean discs. Last one being The Forgotten.
On topic - I did Troy successfully with DVD Shrink. No problems.

Got Troy from Netflix the other day, burning a backup copy and it just took 42minutes to rip with CloneDVD.
NEC 3500a
Was unable to get rid of the rip lock.. Is that what's holding me back?
42min
