I don't but I live with my sister and she makes $52/hr and she gets OT.
Yeah....that translate to about $120K+++/yr.
I wish she stop laying her paycheck stubs around the house.
I have to look everytime and I get jealous everytime.

BTW, shes a pharmacist.

Ya, work is her life. Don't worry to much about it.

Ya know, maybe I'm just jaded because my gf and I have to deal with them so often, but unless she's involved in research...I've never met a hard working pharmacist.
Even doctors or orthodontists with their own practices... they make crazy $$ but have flexible work hours since they make their own. In fact, they probably work less hours than you do

First, the figure surprises me too but at the same time, i cannot imagine so many people would maliciously lie just to skew results. The poll is anonymous so it's not like anyone's ego is getting stroked.

Also, $41/hr is not necessarily the same as 85k a year. You already see evidence of this from the little 17 year old kids that run their own "PC Business" aka installing a printer for the neighborhood grandma. They claim they make $41/hr. Sure that might be true. But they certainly don't make $85k a year.

exactly... many people don't have a regular work schedule... sometimes they'll work more or less, not a typical 9-5 job, but still qualify under 50/hr. saying that 41/hr = 85k/yr is a gross misrepresentation of a lot of people's jobs

I thought I was doing good at $31/hr.

But, $41/hr is $85K/yr

I wasn't to shocked to see people making that. But 19% of you claim to be making $85K+

So, start talking. Who are you and what do you do.

And the thread i am referring to is here:
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...?catid=38&threadid=1716233&STARTPAGE=1

my mom is a nurse (not a practitioner - just an rn) and makes over $50 an hour.

i could still never be a man nurse though ;)
