40mm fan for n/bridge - cool but not annoying?

What it says; I have an unmodded epox 8rda+. I changed out the hs on my other one for a vantec copper kit but don't know that it's "all that" - the design seems kind of iffy to me, but it's not loud.

I do think the standard hs will do if I lap it, use ceramique, I'm wanting a 40 mm fan to put on it that isn't annoying but I'm not a quiet pc freak (sorry, understand I'm not putting folks down, I can handle some noise but not a high pitched shriek)

Anyone? Just want a reasonable decibal level fan to throw on the n/bridge heatsink. Thanks.

Zalman passive heatsink for NB cooling

That's what use on my 8RDA (non +) for cooling the NB. I took the existing Epox NB heatsink and dremel'd off a small part of the side so that it would fit on the south bridge. The 2 holes near the SB line up perfectly so installing the HS on the south bridge went easily.

Cool, I didn't know it would fit on the s/bridge which is also a concern. How sad, another tasty shopping trip to svc - some things there I've been dying to buy

I'm using the Zalman too, on the NB. On the rig in the sig... Was real cranky before, just didn't like getting to 11 x 200 much less beyond! Figured it was NB probs... put the Zalman on with AS3. Bham! 11 x 200 no sweat. Letting things cure up a bit before I start pushing it around but looks like a good result.
