$40K OTD for 2015 RDX with Tech package (not AWD), too much?

Pretty sure price check is not allowed. Also rdx without awd = why?

Have you you thought about picking up a TSX Wagon instead? $34K fully loaded and just as roomy as a RDX.

RDX is essentially a CRV with a V6 and a nicer interior - this is a compact SUV. $40K on one is just too damn much!

Yeah, thought about it, but this will be for the wife. The salesman said he can do ~$37K, so + tax/title/license I figure I could finagle it to about $40K all included. But, then there's the 2016 coming around the corner. Also, BMW X3...

I have some thinking to do.

I don't mean to thread-crap and I'm sure it's a well-respected vehicle and it has plenty of oomph, but damm, it's ugly. You could buy something really sexy, sporty, for that kind of $$ and this vehicle is just lacking in that area..

Don't mind at all, and it's a very valid reason, I'm not too crazy about it either. We don't want to spend more than $40K, so maybe a CPO X3 might be something else to ponder.

We've been looking at different options and it's a coin flip between a new RDX, or a slightly used X3 with what we have in mind.

Well if your into domestics you can get into a well-equipped Challenger Scat-pack for around the same $$, sure, I get it, it's a Dodge, but you would be getting a full factory warranty and plenty of power, little heavy on the gas budget though!.

Yep, because it's a direct competitor to an entry level luxury suv

At any rate, a warranty is suppose to be just in case, not a necessity;)

How is the Challenger Scat-pack with hauling an infant and the associated equipments around? I'm not sure if its entrance and seating arrangement is any better than the coupe I already have... :awe:

True, but I'd rather have one rather than rely on luck, specially if I'm dropping $40K

In that segment, CPO RX350 would be excellent choice. It also comes with the best CPO warranty.

RDX is a competent car... Whether of not, its a good value is relative to several other factors including how long you expect to keep it...

If it were me, I'd be sure to cross shop it with the Lexus NX. And perhaps, with the GLA as well...

Don't think that you would go wrong with the RDX. Still, at that price point, you have some excellent other choices as well... Really depends on which choice appeals to you more.

Best of luck,
Uno

Why not a Chevy Equinox for $10,000 less? Or get a Traverse, like I did, with minimal options for around $30,000. Have had it for 3 years and we absolutely love it.
