If you have a 401k, what is your personal rate of return so far YTD? This is usually given on your statement somewhere and factors in contributions and withdrawals. I know most of my funds have been performing well YTD, but i can't really tell how i'm personally doing compared to others since contributions are made bi-weekly throughout the year.

Mine is at 9.7% with ~85/15 equity/income mix.

11.2 YTD last I looked. Close to it.

Most of my funds are in a vanguard fund of some sort.

14.75% according to JPM, but I'll check my spreadsheet when I get home for an accurate number.

10.7% Its a mix (50/25/25) of S&P 500, Mid-Cap and International mutual funds.

Your rate of return isn't bad. If you are young you may want to go riskier and be 100% equities.
Just make sure the funds you are investing in have low managment fees or that 9.7% return could be a lot lower.

Personally, I don't really care the YTD on a 401k is...I look at the end of the year (once) for curiosity sake.

I'm at a nice 13.08% right now. It's a great time to be set at "aggressive" on your fund plans because the economy is keeping stocks undervalued.

thanks. I'm gonna swap a fund for a more riskier one, but i'll still maintain my allocation.

I don't have a 401k, but my Roth is at 12.43% YTD. That's in a target retirement fund. I am thinking of switching to 100% equities since I am young and bonds probably won't do much for me over the next decade or two anyway.

I am at about 10.5% YTD but earlier in the year, just a few months ago, I was at 16% :(
