401K approach?

OS

Lifer
For people who are working, how aggressive of a 401K plan do you use? IE generally aggressive, conservative, etc.

At 44 years old, a lost business, and all my previous 15 years 401k sacrificed to start a business, I am contributing $2250 per month, in the hopes, that when I am 60, I might get to take a breath or two for myself.
You are never too young to start a plan., as you are never to old to start a plan. Any money invested, or saved is still saved money. Banks offer more security than a coffee can in your backyard, but don't pay much more. No hotshot advice here. Just keep as much of your money as you can, for as long as you can. Marriages, Divorces, Kids, College, etc, can all have an impact on your projections, so plan accordingly.

#1) Start as soon as your job allows.
#2) Keep 1/2 your contributions in aggressive growth and 1/2 in conservative growth.
#3) Simmer for 35-45 years 🙂

That's what I'm doing right now.

Pretty simple really.
1) If the company has matching plan, contribute at least to get the maximum matching plan, if not skipped to 2.
2) Max out Roth IRA
3) Max out 401K (unless plan's offering realy truely garbages).
