If a processor has a front side bus of 400mhz.. does that mean it will run pc3200 ddr ram at the full 400mhz? im just curious because i have a notebook with a centrino m processor (400mhz fsb) and pc2700 ddr ram.

A centrino notebook with a 400mhz(100x4) FSB cpu, is actualy running on the 100mhz FSB, so the ram would be running at 200Mhz(100x2) by default, so PC3200 ddr would not be runing at full speed. PC2700 runs at a 166mhz FSB.

Not necessarily; it depends entirely on the memory controller speed on the mobo.
