This includes Middle Easterners. Kerry made this statement in the 3rd debate. Bush did not refute it. Anyone know any different?

I guess this does not come under the topic of "Defending America"

Kerry isn't going to do a damn thing about it either. That's the main issue that bugs me about both Bush and Kerry, our borders.

it's one of the few topics that most people are pissed about but few politicians give a damn about.

Kerry will increase the border patrol by 1 million people and ask for money from the Europeans to pay for it. Vote for him!

In the mid 1980's there were some 25,000 coming through the border in southern California. The moderator said 8,000. I think Kerry miss understood and replied with 4,000. My memory says that if either of those numbers are correct, someone has done a whale of a job stopping them.

One of the issues that is never mentioned in this subject is that most Americans are just too lazy to do the work that the Mexicans do. Didn't I just reply to a post last night where some liberal was saying he went to college to avoid such stuff?

Military needs to patrol the Borders.
Buisnesses Need to face stiff fines and/or prison time for hiring illegals.
Need to deport the 13 Million Illegals already here.
Children Born on US Soil by two Illegal immigrants should not be considered citizens.

Dont even tell me they do jobs others wont. There is no such thing as a job that people dont want to do. Sure, wages will have to go up on alot of them to meet the needs of the American Worker, but think of the effect of this mass need for new employees on US CITIZENS that are in poverty. Employing of illegals does not keep prices low for consumers, it keep profits high for the buisness owners and wall street.

BS. Americans wont do the jobs because they wont work for less than minimum wage, which many illegals do because they have no choice. As soon as the economic incentives for hireing illegals is offset by fines and/or prison time, then wages will have to rise to an exceptable level that Americans will want to do these jobs.

There is no such thing as a job people wont do for adequate pay. NONE. ZIP. ZILCH.

So, who's gonna cut the grass and wash the dishes? Do we really want to pay real wages for these pesky chores?

Most people dont realize that the Military has patrolled the US borders in the name of the "war on drugs" under the Clinton Administration.

Most people forgot this story of an 18 year old US citizen herding his flock of goats that was killed by a Marine.

But Kerry says the retinal scan and fingerprint technology will help this. Oh wait, we never caught them to get that sort of info....

How many septic tanks have you pumped out? I picked up a drive in movie on Sundays for a while. It wasn't minimum wage either! A lot of my electronics training was acquired while working as a kid for a small TV shop in Simmesport Louisiana. That was, thankfully, before minimum wage. If the owner had been required to pay me minimum wage, he couldn't have afforded to have me work for him. This guy was an engineer who had worked for GE in Michigan and had a lot to share. He trained several kids and they have moved on to be successful people.

Actually, many of them would welcome such an initiative as would young men from lots of countries. I know a good dozen who would right now if it resulted in American citizenship.

what we need is giant electrified fences that go 100ft high and 100ft below ground made of solid titanium with autoguns every 500ft. And those unmanned planes wiht the tomohawk missles constantly on watch.

I kinda like the idea of drafting them into citizenship. Kinda sets up for a funny joke...An american an iraqui and a mexican were fighting against these terrorists one day....

It's a stupid problem, at least from the standpoint of national security. Lest we forget, but all of the 9/11 terrorists got into the country perfectly legally. No one "snuck in from Mexico" or something stupid like that. Just a good example of people being concerned about the wrong problem.

Is that the Libertarian viewpoint?
