40 GB Western Digital at Circuit City for $119 after rebate

I was in circuit city planning on getting the 45 gig for 99, but they were out. Needing a hard drive, I decided to go for the 30 gig, which is marked $149 with a $30 mail in. I open up the box, and theres a slip of paper saying that I got 10 gigs free, and the hard drive is a 40.8.

I guess there is no way of knowing if all the 30's are really 40's, but I thought you guys should know.

Perhaps they ran out of the platters for the 30 GB units. Do you have any numbers or codes from that box?

Sorry to be a newbie, but is this an advertised promo, or just an alternate offer to the 45 Gig 5400 Rpm WD deal they were running? Also any idea of the expiration?????

Sorry, my math is fuzzy It is $119
The model number on the box is WD307AARTL, and the barcode is 718037103150.
The rebate is good on purchases up to 11/11/00. Its the same $30 rebate that is on the 45 gig drive, and the 45 gig has a second $20 rebate.
